LOWER CHEEK AND NECK LIFT
A routine component of an isolated neck lift, as performed by Dr. Feldman, is the elimination of the excess jowl fat overhanging the jawline. But a neck lift will not improve the sag just below the corner of the mouth alongside the lower lip and chin (indicated by the arrows) called the labiomandibular fold. To improve the labiomandibular fold at the time of a neck lift, a lower cheek lift is also needed - which was done for the patient pictured here. A lower cheek lift leaves the upper cheek and its nasolabial fold mostly as is. To improve both the nasolabial and labiomandibular folds, a full cheek (face) lift is needed.
