LOWER BLEPHAROPLASTY
For patients who have puffy lower eyelids along with a bothersome groove between the eyelid and the cheek (called the tear trough), instead of removing the bulging eyelid fat, it can be smoothly repositioned into a deep pocket beneath the groove to fill it out. This maneuver simultaneously eliminates the puffy bags and improves the tear trough hollow - as it did for the two patients shown above. Like the removal of excess eyelid fat, this fat sliding procedure is accomplished through an incision hidden inside the lower eyelid.
