OTOPLASTY

Ears that protrude too much from the side of the head can be a source of embarrassment. Dr. Feldman sets the prominent ear or ears back into a natural and inconspicuous position using permanent sutures placed into the cartilage through an incision hidden on the back of the ear. Earlobe position, size, and shape can also be modified if appropriate. Surgery is always done on an outpatient basis, either under local anesthesia without sedation, or under intravenous sedation with the patient completely asleep.
